Whilst the original gunpowder is designed to be sprinkled or spread on top of ‘idlis’ or steamed rice cakes for breakfast and pure Ghee drizzled on top.
Our Recipe is very different in that it can be used as a ‘Gunpowder Seasoning’ for various snacks including Onion Bhajjia, Potato Bonda, Fried Fish, Chicken
or other Tikkas and much more.
Besides this it is a great marinade for chargrilling items on the barbeque or grilling in the oven.
The word ‘Gunpowder’ was coined because of the punch it can pack if too much is applied and a bolt of Chilli could hit the diner!
